Gearing Up for the Birthday Season
Posted by benjamin
May is almost here and that means three little boys are going to be getting older and filled with cake, ice cream, candy, soda, sugar sugar sugar.. The twins will be turning three, Max will be six and time will not stand still no matter how hard I try. Sally is quite the planner when it comes to themed kids parties and there has been a constant stream of deliveries to the front door for all the party supplies. Two parties, two themes, twice the headache fun. Max has decided, despite all our best alternative suggestions, to have a Army themed party, and who can blame him since his father was is a lover of all things G.I. Joe.
My parents broke out the storage boxes of all my old comics and toys last year and sent them down for me to store, and how could I just put the toys away when I had a son who was willing to play them with me ;) I was a little sad that I couldn't remember all the names of the 100+ action figures while my wife was equally saddened by the amount I did recall. Fifteen years in storage for Chinese made plastic is nothing, and I am glad there is another generation to enjoy them with me. Eventually they will go back in storage till I can break them out for my grandkids and start the craziness all over again.
